Talks are scheduled to begin Monday between the Writers Guild of America West and Constantin Film over a residue dispute that has led union leaders to call on members to boycott the company, the German mini-major said.

Guild President Meredith Stiehm, Vice President Michele Mulroney and Secretary Treasurer Betsy Thomas wrote to members of the Writers Union on Friday that “as of today, WGA members are prohibited. under work rule 8 to work for Constantin Film Development, Inc. The union added that it was important that the production and distribution company did not “undermine the standards and conditions of the writers” and that the Guild was working hard to resolve the issue.
