The transaction includes approximately 730 units

Berlin, November 19, 2021 – ACCENTRO Real Estate AG (“ACCENTRO”), a residential real estate investor and German leader in housing privatization, successfully signed a transaction for a total of approximately 730 units. The transaction includes the purchase and sale of several residential real estate portfolios. ACCENTRO acquires, among other things, around 470 units in East Germany for its own rental portfolio. The integrated transaction with a private investor has a total volume of approximately 100 million euros. It was agreed not to disclose the purchase prices of the various portfolios. The transfer of benefits and charges is supposed to take place before the end of this year.

At the same time, the Group confirms its forecasts for the current 2021 fiscal year: Thus, turnover should increase by around 60% to reach between 170 and 200 million euros (previous year: 125, 2 million euros) and EBIT up to around 44% to somewhere between 45 and 50 million euros (previous year: 34.8 million euros).

Lars Schriewer, CEO of ACCENTRO, said: “The transaction is a new step in the development of ACCENTRO and highlights the diverse performance of our business. On the one hand, we have succeeded in acquiring another attractive residential portfolio in eastern Germany and thus achieving a further significant expansion of our own rental portfolio. On the other hand, we again succeeded in selling residential portfolios. This proves that investor interest in German residential real estate as an asset class remains high.

Thanks to this purchase, ACCENTRO is once again significantly increasing its real estate portfolio in East Germany. The acquired portfolio is located in the Federal State of Saxony and benefits from convenient transport links to the cities of Zwickau, Plauen and Hof. The units have a combined rental area of ​​around 27,000 square meters and offer considerable added value potential which must be exploited in the years to come.

ACCENTRO has spent the last 12 months massively expanding its rental portfolio across Germany, which now totals around 3,600 units. The focus was on some cities in eastern Germany and North Rhine-Westphalia. Lars Schriewer explained: “The goal we are pursuing, in addition to our successful privatization venture, is the dynamic expansion of our own rental property portfolio, preferably in attractive B and C locations. We see above average potential specifically for these locations. the strategic orientation not only ensures a steady growth in rental income for the company. It also helps us achieve a perfect balance with our sales activity.
