LAS VEGAS and ATLANTA, 12 October 2021 / PRNewswire / – Scientific Games Corporation (NASDAQ: SGMS) (“Scientific Games” or the “Company”) has finalized a new technology agreement with longtime lottery partner LOTTO Hessen in centrally located Wiesbaden Germany. The Company will launch its new SYMPHONY gaming systems technology, the migration of AEGIS® gaming system it currently provides. Scientific games, Europe the largest provider of lottery technology and business solutions, will provide LOTTO Hessen with software support for its technology facilities in Vienna, Austria.
LOTTO Hessen is the third lottery in Europe modernize with SYMPHONY in the last year. This advanced system developed by Scientific Games supports new game entertainment and distribution channels with an open and secure interface that easily and quickly integrates third-party content and solutions. The aim of the lottery is to expand online channels and introduce new gaming verticals in partnership with leading companies in the industry.
In the first phase of the modernization plan, Scientific Games’ OGS Open Play System will connect to LOTTO Hessen’s internet system to give players Germany access a world-class online gaming experience directly through the Lottery website, in accordance with the regulatory framework.
