The German Embassy in Albania has announced that nationals of the latter will soon have to meet new conditions in order to apply for the post of nursing assistant.
In an official statement, the embassy revealed that from January 1, 2022, only applications for nursing assistants with a recognized B1 level language certificate would be admitted, reports SchengenVisaInfo.com.
“The Embassy informs: from 01.01.2022, the Tirana Embassy will only accept applications in the field of nursing personnel for” nursing assistants “for whom language certificates recognized at B1 level are presented”, the German Embassy statement reads.
Such a decision to apply new rules for nursing professionals follows the recommendation of the German Federal Foreign Office. In addition, it was explained that despite the fact that new rules will come into force soon, all other requirements that have applied until now will also remain in place.
“The embassy is thus implementing the instructions of the Federal Foreign Office. All other requirements remain in place ”, added the embassy.
All Albanian nationals who wish to apply to work as nursing assistants in Germany are required to present the equivalence of the professional qualification determined by the competent German authorities.
Germany is currently facing a shortage of healthcare professionals. For this reason, the country’s authorities hire nurses from abroad to work in German hospitals and nursing homes. Estimates show that Germany will need 150,000 to 200,000 additional professional nurses over the next ten years.
Previously, Germany changed its procedures for appointing work visas for nationals of Western Balkan countries.
The German authorities have announced that as the number of applications exceeds the number of schedules that can be made available at the moment, new rules regarding the application procedure will be applied.
In order to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to make an appointment, the times are set using a monthly lottery procedure. Anyone can apply. However, only those who are lucky can make an appointment.
The application can be submitted until December 17th using the online system. Selected applicants will receive an application timeline for late January or early February 2022.
