Thiruvananthapuram: Keralite nursing professionals who wish to work in Germany can apply for the second stage of the NORKA ROOTS Triple Win program from August 16.
Recruitment covers 300 vacancies. Those with a degree or diploma in nursing and at least one year’s work experience can apply.
Those who were not recruited in the first chance can apply again.
There is no age limit to apply. However, those with more than three years of experience and those fluent in German will be given preference. Nurses who are already working in a foreign country and who have an active visa cannot apply. Recruitment would be totally free.
The candidates would be selected directly by the German authorities during the interviews scheduled in Thiruvananthapuram from November 1 to 11. Selected candidates would also be trained in German.
Those who pass the A2 and B1 level language tests on the first try will receive a 250 euro bonus.
The appointment would be as nursing assistants. In the meantime, they could work as registered nurses if they pass level B2 in the German test. At the beginning, the nurses will receive 2300 euros in salary. It can go up to 2800 euros for qualified nurses. In addition, there will also be a 20-35% hourly allowance for overtime.

The public overseas recruitment agency NORKA ROOTS and the Federal Employment Agency of the German government have reached an agreement to recruit qualified nurses from Kerala. The German recruitment project named Triple Win is the European giant’s first government-level migration project.
Hundreds of new nursing positions are expected in Germany in the coming years. Meanwhile, more than 8,500 nursing graduates qualify every year in Kerala.
