As part of its fourth European deal this year, Capgemini acquired Braincourt, a German company specializing in business intelligence and data science services.
The agreement provides for the transition of a team of approximately 90 people to the German division of Capgemini. “Their team is a natural fit for Capgemini in terms of services, skills and culture,” said Zhiwei Jiang, member of Cagemini’s executive committee.
Based in Stuttgart, Braincourt is active throughout Germany, as well as in Austria and Switzerland. The company specializes in the design and development of business intelligence and data science solutions on technology stacks from vendors such as Atlassian, Board, Microsoft, SAP and Tableau.
Braincourt’s main areas of intervention are in back office functions such as finance and human resources, and with industrial customers, also in the field of production and logistics. “They bring to Capgemini a well-established experience in designing and implementing advanced business intelligence, artificial intelligence, analytics and data science solutions for business process optimization,” Jiang said. .
Meanwhile, for Braincourt, the coming together of forces sees the company abandon its independent after 22 years of autonomy. According to Günter Hauser, Executive Partner of Braincourt, however, the team is keen to reap the benefits of this beneficial move.
“We look forward to bringing our expertise to enrich Capgemini’s data and analytics offerings. Not only will our team members benefit from contributing to projects that leverage the breadth and depth of Capgemini’s business offerings, but our clients, many of whom are global brands, will have access to a much wider range of services that can be provided to them worldwide. .”
Terms and conditions of the deal were not disclosed by private company Braincourt or Paris-listed Capgemini.
Earlier this year, Capgemini acquired partner Pega Knowledge Expert in Switzerland and financial services specialist Chappuis Halder in France. In the UK, design and branding agency Rufus Leonard has been added to the Grenouille division of Capgemini Invent.
