Announcing the 2021 Great American Beer Festival® winners

The judgment took place in 34 sessions over 17 days with strict health and safety measures in place. A total of 170 judges assessed 9,680 entries from 2,192 breweries from 50 states and over Washington DC, and Porto Rico. The award ceremony took place at the Bellco Theater in Denver Friday night at the Craft Brewers Conference® and was broadcast live on The Brewing Network.

To enable fall hop harvest and beer production, and to include Fresh Hop beers in this prestigious competition, 78 Fresh Hop Beer category entries will compete in early October, with winners announced Friday, October 15.

“Although forced to cancel the festival portion of the GABF, our brewing community rallied to make this year’s GABF competition one for books – our biggest judged competition to date,” said Chris Swersey, Competition Director, Great American Beer Festival. “The judges continue to be impressed with the quality and innovation of all the entries they have evaluated. The Brewers Association is proud to honor this year’s deserving recipients. We look forward to celebrating together in person next year.

As previously announced, the Great American Beer Festival will be celebrating its 40th anniversary 6-8 October 2022, to Colorado Congress center in Denver.
